How to Trust Your Intuition and Move Forward in Life with Marcy Heil

You have had the experience. A decision that felt wrong even though the logic looked fine. A person you did not trust even though you could not explain why. A path you knew was right even before you had evidence.

That is your intuition. And most people have spent years learning to ignore it.

Marcy Heil works with people to reverse that pattern. Her coaching centers on rebuilding the relationship between your conscious reasoning and the deeper intelligence that has been with you all along.

Why We Stop Trusting Ourselves

Children tend to have strong intuitive responses. They know when something feels off. They know when they are genuinely excited versus performing excitement for others.

Over time, most people learn to override those responses. We are taught to be rational, to consider all the evidence, to not make decisions based on feelings. We get messages that our instincts are unreliable or selfish or naive.

The result is that many adults are deeply disconnected from their own inner guidance. They know how to analyze a situation. They do not know how to feel it.

What Intuition Actually Is

Intuition is not mystical. It is pattern recognition happening below the level of conscious thought. Your nervous system and your subconscious mind are processing an enormous amount of information that your analytical mind never sees.

When something feels wrong, that feeling is often the result of your deeper intelligence noticing a pattern that your conscious mind has not caught up to yet. It deserves to be taken seriously.

This does not mean acting on every impulse without reflection. It means treating your gut responses as data, not noise.

How to Reconnect With Your Intuition

Marcy begins with slowing down. Intuition tends to get drowned out by busyness, noise, and the relentless pressure to have an answer right now. Creating quiet space is not optional. It is the prerequisite.

A useful practice is to notice your first response to situations before your analytical mind kicks in. Before you start listing pros and cons, before you ask what you should do, notice how your body responds to each option. Tension, openness, contraction, ease. These physical signals are part of the information.

Marcy also encourages people to track their intuition over time. When you acted on your gut and it was right, what did that feel like? When you overrode it and regretted it, what was the signal you ignored? Building this self-knowledge makes the signals easier to read.

You Do Not Need Certainty to Move Forward

One of the most important things Marcy teaches is that waiting for certainty before trusting yourself is a trap. Certainty rarely comes. Forward movement requires acting on your best current understanding, including the information your intuition is providing.

Moving forward does not require knowing the outcome. It requires trusting yourself enough to take the next honest step.
