WHAT ARE GOALS?
Everyone has a goal. Whether it is something major like being the CEO of a franchise by the age of 30 or losing 5 pounds after over-indulging on tasty treats during the holidays, there is no denying that all of your dreams are valid.
Goal definition by itself is as relative and dynamic as the people who set goals themselves. Below are different ways to define goals in order to help you get on the right track towards achieving yours and turning yourself into a superstar in your own eyes.
WHAT IS A GOAL?
The simplest way to define a goal is as a desired result envisioned by a person or a group and accompanied by an effort aimed at achievement.
In addition to the desired result, a goal includes plans and commitment that will ensure that the ambition is fruitful. This means that you can’t just sit on the couch all day in your sweats dreaming of owning your own business and call that a goal. You need to get up and do something about it.

The most important concept is to never lose sight of what you are working for. So whether it is some paradise location you want to cross off your bucket list or a skill you want to learn, be fearless and chase the dream with all the confidence you have. If you believe in it, you can make it happen.
Reasonable vs Unreasonable Goals
One of the cons of civilization is having to deal with social perception and defining a goal based on other people’s standards and ideas. And when it comes to goals, this is especially true.
Have you ever set a goal and shared it with your friends or family only to have yourself laughed out of the room? These are the so-called unreasonable goals or ambitions. More often than not, people look down on these goals mainly because they either don’t understand them or they are generally considered very hard to achieve.
Honestly speaking, there is no such thing as an unreasonable goal. When you define goals, you define them based on your personal objectives, not anyone else’s.
Look at the Wright brothers. This twentieth century duo had dreams of giving man the ability to fly with the birds up in the sky. Many people who heard about their goals though that they were downright crazy and dismissed their ambitions as impossible and unreasonable. It’s safe to say that the Wright Brothers proved everyone wrong.
Based on this example, you can define what is a goal by understanding the inner feelings and emotions of what it takes to turn an idea and objective into a reality.
This is an example among many that goes to prove how all dreams and goals are valid however unusual they might seem. The is no use of the term reasonable in the definition of goal so never ever let public opinion stop you from dreaming big and aiming high.
