About the Decision Compass

Big decisions are hard. Not because we lack information, but because we have competing values, competing fears, and competing visions of our future. The Decision Compass helps you sort through all of that.

You bring a specific decision to the map. Then you work through it from multiple angles: your values, your gut feeling, the practical considerations, what your future self would say, and what each option would mean for the different areas of your life. The goal is not to tell you what to decide. It is to make sure you have thought it through from every angle before you do.

Most people make big decisions either too quickly based on emotion, or too slowly because they are stuck in analysis. The Decision Compass helps you do neither. It gives you a process that takes the emotion seriously without letting it run the show.

Use this map for any decision that feels genuinely hard: a career change, a relationship decision, a move, a financial choice, or anything else that keeps you up at night.
